纪录片《赤道：变化的挑战 Equator：Challenge of Change》
赤道是历史的产物，它的一切都清晰可见，引领者观众们追随太阳的脚步，到达地球的各个角落，领略各处的异国风光。赤道并非只是一条地球的切割线，它还是生命的分割线，也是大自然魔力的见证，在赤道上，生物进化的脚步加快了。
虽然赤道仅占据了地球表面积的5%，却孕育了地球上50%的生命。简直就是个生物工厂。赤道上的生物常年生活在潮湿，温暖的环境中。这样的生活是美好的，一年四季，他们都可以恣意生长，繁衍。但这样的生活也有美中不足，这里的生物竞争更加的激烈，他们必须同地球上50%的生物竞争。正因为如此，这里的动物和植物比其他地方的更加的高大，生命力更加顽强。

赤道上的非洲，它所蕴涵的故事可谓花开两朵各表一枝，一个是草地和大草原比比皆是的东非，一个是拥有广阔热带雨林的西非。大裂谷在4000万年前形成，把非洲一分为二，一场进化之战自此拉开了帷幕。掠食性猫科动物和多种食草动物成为草原上最后的统治者。
